I am finally finished with the almost 2 month long magazine project. Magazine layout design is definitely harder than I thought, and is definitely a challenge. Honestly though, I really loved designing it, and it does reflect my design style.
Ascend is a magazine for young female professionals that are starting their first corporate jobs. As a young professional myself, there aren't a lot of resources that tell you how to prepare for the big corporate world, apart from the internet. So I thought this would be a neat concept to play off of. We were asked to take our own photos and create our own ads. Photographing people was definitely the hardest part for me, because I haven't had any classes for photography. But I think they turned out pretty good.
I had posted my rough drafts earlier, but I have made quite a few changes since then.

I really like how this magazine turned out and I am so glad to say that this is my last project for this semester!!
